with the addition of Todd S. Sharinn as partner in the New York City office. His practice involves the worldwide acquisition, exploitation and aggressive enforcement of intellectual property rights. On the trademark side, he has had considerable success developing branding strategies, and enforcing these brand’s underlying trademarks, trade dress, product configurations and advertising efforts. Most notably, Mr. Sharinn has successfully litigated more than one hundred trademark counterfeit and infringement matters in several domestic and foreign jurisdictions. In addition, Mr. Sharinn has worked with the United States Customs Service, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Interpol and numerous law enforcement agencies in connection with the thwarting of illicit trade including smuggling, parallel imports and the manufacture and sale of counterfeit goods, as well as the freezing and seizure of assets derived from such illegal activities. On the patent front, Mr. Sharinn is registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office and has a Masters in Molecular Biology. Much of his patent work is directed to the litigation and licensing of patents relating to, among other things, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, electronics, cosmetics, heavy machinery and consumer goods. In addition, Mr. Sharinn’s practice is directed to sports and entertainment litigation and counseling. He represents artists, authors, professional and amateur leagues, teams, athletes and coaches. Mr. Sharinn has lectured widely before industry groups, law schools, and business management programs. He has penned several articles published by multiple trade journals and the like. Mr. holds a JD from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Masters in Molecular Biology from Boston University, and BA, cum laude, from Boston University. In addition to being admitted to the United States Patent Bar, Mr. Sharinn is admitted to practice law in New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, United States District Court for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York and the District of Connecticut, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal and Second Circuit Courts.
