Andrew Q. Conroy
Associate

Mr. Conroy is an associate with the firm.  He practices in the Public Finance and Economic Development Practice Groups.  Mr. Conroy focuses on federal and state tax law in the areas of municipal law and state and local finance law, with particular emphasis on tax-exempt financings and corporate tax matters.  He is involved with tax-exempt bond financings and conducting tax due diligence review and drafting primary financing documents, resolutions, certificates, and opinions.

Professional & Community Activities

Mr. Conroy is a member of the American, New York State, and Monroe County Bar Associations. 

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Conroy was the recipient of an Equal Justice Works Fellowship grant through AmeriCorps and the National Association of Public Interest Law.  Mr. Conroy worked as an intake paralegal with Monroe County Legal Assistance Corporation, assisting low-income individuals and survivors of domestic violence with their legal issues.

During law school, Mr. Conroy was a member of the Courtroom Advocates Program, providing assistance to survivors of domestic violence seeking protective orders in Brooklyn and Queens Family Court.  He served as an editor of the Hofstra Law Review.  Mr. Conroy received the Hon. Richard C. Wesley Award for Outstanding Public Service Internship when he was an undergraduate student.
