Audrey Patrone Peartree

Ms. Peartree is a member of the firm and practices in the Life and Asset Planning Practice Group.  She concentrates her practice in estate and trust administration, estate tax planning, will and trust preparation, and guardianship matters.  Ms. Peartree began her legal career as deputy chief counsel to the Reagan-Bush ’84 National Campaign Committee.  She then served as deputy associate director in the Presidential Personnel Office in The White House, where she assisted with the evaluation of candidates for presidential appointment to the Departments of Commerce, Treasury and Justice, and evaluation of candidates for appointment to the federal judiciary.  Ms. Peartree has a litigation practice background in the areas of insurance defense and representing corporate clients in contract, tort and other matters.  For the past 15 years, she has focused her practice in the area of trusts and estates.  Prior to joining Harris Beach, Ms. Peartree was a named partner of Peartree & Peartree LLP in Rochester, New York.

Professional & Community Activities

Ms. Peartree is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Seventh District Representative on the Trusts & Estates Law Section Executive Committee.  She is a former co-chair of the Trusts & Estates Committee of the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York.  Ms. Peartree is a member of the Monroe County Bar Association of which she is immediate past chair of the Trusts & Estates Executive Council and is a member of the Fee Arbitration Committee.  She is President-elect of the board of the Monroe County Bar Association Foundation and chair of the Grants Committee.  Ms. Peartree is a member of and former president of the Greater Rochester Association for Women Attorneys.  She also is immediate past chairperson of the board of Our Lady of Mercy High School.  Ms. Peartree was a member of the boards of the Estate Planning Council of Rochester, St. Bernard’s School of Theology and Ministry, Camp Stella Maris, and Seton Catholic School.  She is a member of Trinity College Rochester Area Club.
