Mr. Jagel is a member of the firm and managing partner of the Rochester office.  He practices in the Corporate Practice Group and serves on the Financial Institutions and Capital Markets, Automotive and Vehicles, Science and Technology Commercialization  and Nanotechnology Industry Teams.  Selected as one of the Best Lawyers in America, Mr. Jagel focuses his legal practice on sophisticated commercial transactions, banking and commercial financing and general corporate law.  Mr. Jagel represents business clients and entrepreneurs at all stages of their business development, negotiating and documenting matters, complex organizational documents (e.g., sophisticated shareholder, operating partnership and joint venture agreements) pertaining to business purchases, startups, on‑going business matters, contracts, transactions, and sales of businesses.  Mr. Jagel negotiates and documents commercial loan transactions on behalf of financial institutions and borrowers.  

Professional & Community Activities

Mr. Jagel is a past chair of the Business Law Section of the Monroe County Bar Association. He is a frequent lecturer at seminars and conferences sponsored by professional and business associations on commercial lending, corporate mergers and acquisitions, general corporate law and other topics.

Mr. Jagel has served as director of numerous charitable and community organizations and most recently served as president of the Advisory Board of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (New York branch).  Mr. Jagel is a 2004 graduate of Leadership Rochester, a community leadership program dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in the Greater Rochester area.  He is also a 2001 recipient of the RochesterBusiness Journal’s 40 Under 40 Award, awarded annually to a select group of young leaders that have made a significant civic and professional contribution to the Rochester community.  Mr. Jagel is a member of the firm’s Rochester office Community Involvement Committee, which assists in organizing and fostering attorney and administrative personnel participation in community-related and charitable events.
