Ms. Stoddart is an associate of the firm. She practices in the Business and Commercial Litigation Practice Group and is a member of the Automotive and Vehicle Dealerships Industry Team. She has represented clients in negotiations, arbitrations and New York state court actions on various issues.
Representative cases include:
• Wehle v. JPMorgan Chase (NYS Surrogate Court, Monroe County; 2011): Counsel for JPMorgan Chase in various trust accounting claims alleging breach of fiduciary duty relating to the investment and management of trust assets.
• Palladian Health v. Summer Street Capital (NYS Supreme Court, Erie County; 2012 and American Arbitration Association, Buffalo, NY; 2011): Counsel for Palladian Health in various claims alleging breach by private equity investor of financing and recapitalization obligations.
• Chapin v. JPMorgan Chase (NYS Surrogate Court, Monroe County; 2011): Counsel for JPMorgan Chase in trust accounting claims alleging breach of fiduciary duty relating to the investment and management of trust assets.
• Village of Saranac Lake v. Bujolds et. al. (NYS Supreme Court, Franklin County; 2011): Assisted in a successful appeal in the Third Department involving eminent domain law and participated in the valuation portion of that action.
Professional & Community Activities
Ms. Stoddart currently serves on the Executive Board of the Young Lawyers Section of the Monroe County Bar Association as a Nominations Co-Chairperson. She is also a member of the Greater Rochester Association for Women Attorneys and is involved with the Law Explorers Program, coaching a mock trial team of local high school students. In 2015, Ms. Stoddart was selected as one of Rochester’s Up and Coming Attorneys by The Daily Record. During law school, Ms. Stoddart was an articles editor of the Buffalo Law Review and editor of the Buffalo Journal of Gender, Law and Social Policy.
