Kareen V. Zeitounzian
Associate

Ms. Zeitounzian is an associate of the firm.  She practices in the Business and Commercial Litigation Practice Group.  Ms. Zeitounzian represents clients on matters related to contracts, personal injury defense, construction law and insurance subrogation.  She is also involved in the representation of clients in matrimonial actions, including matters related to custody, child support, custodial relocation, pre- and post-marital agreements, and the equitable distribution of property such as business interests, professional degrees and professional licenses.

Prior to joining Harris Beach, Ms. Zeitounzian served in the Appeals Department of the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office.  She also has been an assistant law clerk for the Monroe County Family Court, where she focused on issues related to juvenile delinquency (JD) and person in need of supervision (PINS) proceedings.  Ms. Zeitounzian additionally served as a legal assistant at the Center for Disability Rights, where she focused on disability law.

Professional & Community Activities

Ms. Zeitounzian is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Monroe County Bar Association, and the Greater Rochester Association for Women Attorneys, where she serves as a writer for the member newsletter, e-Honora.  She received the McKnight Award in 2010 and was named an Empire State Counsel Honoree in 2009.  Ms. Zeitounzian received the Personal Achievement Award in 2003 from the Rochester Chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association.  She co-authored “The Prognosis for Recovery: Health Insurance Subrogation” 80 New York State Bar Journal 22 (May 2008).
