Keith M. Corbett

Mr. Corbett is an associate of the firm and a member of the Business and Commercial Litigation and Public Finance and Economic Development Practice Groups, and the Municipalities and Quasi-Governmental Agencies Industry Team.  He represents mid-size to multi-national corporations in complex commercial litigations.  Mr. Corbett regularly appears before the New York State Supreme Court and the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. Throughout his career he has represented investors in syndicate litigation, defended health care providers in factoring agreement cases and appeared for clients in shareholder actions, UCC litigation, commercial lease disputes and products liability cases. 

Mr. Corbett represents real estate professionals in relation to land use and development in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.  He has appeared before town boards, village boards and zoning boards of appeals in support of special permit requests, variances and re-zoning applications. Mr. Corbett is familiar with all aspects of commercial and residential development from both municipal and private development perspectives.

During the course of his career, he has represented several municipalities with land use and development, personal injury defense and contractual disputes.  He has extensive experience litigating civil rights claims arising under Section 1983 of the Civil Rights Act.  Mr. Corbett has appeared on behalf of police officers, mayors and various governmental officials in all stages of litigation. 

Mr. Corbett routinely assists with the administration of local, state, and federal elections on Long Island.  He has represented the Governor of the State of New York, United States Congressmen and various state and local officials in election law proceedings.  Additionally, Mr. Corbett advises clients concerning campaign financial disclosures to the New York State Board of Elections and the Federal Elections Commission.
