Richard P. Krieger
Of Counsel
Mr. Krieger serves as of counsel to the firm and is a member of the Corporate and Life and Asset Planning Practice Groups at Harris Beach. He focuses his legal practice in the areas of corporate and general business law, commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, collections and intellectual property. He primarily represents closely-held corporations in all aspects of business affairs, including formation, organization, operation, financing and development. As part of his corporate practice, Mr. Krieger represents clients in mergers and acquisition transactions and has extensive experience preparing corporate filings, drafting shareholder agreements, negotiating the purchase and sale of corporate assets, and addressing employment matters. Mr. Krieger also has experience negotiating and preparing commercial lease agreements, including shopping mall leases, on behalf of both landlords and tenants.
As part of counseling and advising closely-held businesses, Mr. Krieger has developed a working knowledge in the area of intellectual property, particularly pertaining to trademark, copyright, trade secret, and computer software protection. He has been involved in the formation and organization of not-for-profit corporations and has worked with partnerships and charitable organizations.
Mr. Krieger also maintains an active life and asset planning, wealth preservation, estate, and trust administration practice for clients in New York and Florida.
