Roy R. Galewski

Mr. Galewski is a member of the firm. He practices in the Labor and Employment Law Practice Group, and on the Energy, Telecommunications and Media, Health Care and Emergency Medical Services and Fire Protection Industry Teams. He represents and counsels employers in all areas of labor and employment law, both in the private and public sectors and across several industries. He regularly counsels and represents employers in labor relations matters, including collective bargaining negotiations, labor arbitrations, and proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board. He also represents employers in employment litigation matters, including disputes over employment contracts, non-compete agreements, wage and hour claims, and employment discrimination claims. In addition, Mr. Galewski regularly represents employers before various administrative agencies including the Public Employment Relations Board, New York and United States Departments of Labor, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the New York State Division of Human Rights. He also provides advice and counsel on day to day employment matters such as workforce reductions, application of collective bargaining agreements, employee discipline, leaves of absence and union organizing.
Prior to joining Harris Beach, Mr. Galewski was an associate with a law firm in Stamford, Connecticut where his practice focused on labor and employment law matters on behalf of employers.
Professional & Community Activities
Mr. Galewski is a member of the Human Resource Committee of the YMCA of Greater Rochester.
While in law school, he served as Articles Editor for the Pace Law Review. He has also published articles and presented management training seminars on various labor and employment law topics, including sexual harassment and union-avoidance.
In 2006, Mr. Galewski was selected as one of Rochester’s Up and Coming Attorneys by The Daily Record.
