Senior Counsel

Ms. Fine is senior counsel to firm serving on the Educational Institutions Industry Team and practicing in the Labor and Employment Law Practice Group. She has represented school districts in general education, special education, fiscal accountability, student discipline, residency, open government, and policy matters. She has litigated numerous special education administrative and adjudicative proceedings and practiced before the Commissioner of Education and courts of New York regarding education and labor issues. Ms. Fine has also been involved in litigation on behalf of colleges in fiscal policy, employment discrimination and employment discipline matters. She previously served as a Captain in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps, where she defended appeals of courts-martial convictions and was selected to serve as a legal clerk to a panel of military appellate judges.
