Mr. DeSimon is a member of the firm and co-leader of the Government Compliance and Investigations Practice Group. He represents corporate and individual clients in civil, criminal and administrative investigations and prosecutions conducted by a variety of governmental agencies such as the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the New York State Department of Labor, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit of the New York State Attorney General’s Office, the United States Attorney’s Office, the New York State Attorney General’s Office, and district attorneys offices throughout New York state.  He advises executives and management teams of Fortune 500 companies, health care organizations and private companies on matters related to corporate compliance and government investigations, and federal and state regulatory actions.  He conducts internal investigations on behalf of corporate clients and serves as the clients’ liaison with prosecuting authorities.  Mr. DeSimon also practices in the Environmental Law, Construction and Surety Law, Mass Torts and Industry-Wide Litigation, and the Insurance Litigation and Product Liability Defense Practice Groups. He also serves on the Telecommunications and Media Industry Team.

Selected as one of the Best Lawyers in America, listed in New York Super Lawyers, and rated AV Preeminent by Martindale Hubbell, Mr. DeSimon has tried nearly one hundred cases to verdict in state and federal courts and appellate matters, and has represented thousands of defendants in criminal prosecutions.  Mr. DeSimon has been involved in representing individuals, public officials, and corporate executives in high profile state and federal investigations and prosecutions.  He also represents clients in administrative proceedings before the Securities and Exchange Commission, the New York State Liquor Authority, the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles and before local government entities.
