William H. Kedley
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Kedley is chief operating officer at Harris Beach directing all of the business and administrative operations throughout the firm. He works with the firm’s Management Committee to advance the firm’s strategic goals and growth initiatives and responsible for the firm’s mergers and lateral hires.
Mr. Kedley oversees the firm’s operations for all offices, including purchasing, facilities, information technology, and human resources. In his role, he provides administrative and operational support and direction in merging other firms and attorneys with Harris Beach and fully integrating those attorneys into the firm’s culture.
Professional Background
Mr. Kedley has more than 35 years of professional administrative and management experience. Prior to joining Harris Beach, he served for 12 years as a manager and staff auditor in the Chicago and Rochester offices of Touche Ross & Co. He received his Bachelor of Arts in accounting from St. Ambrose University.
Professional & Community Activities
Mr. Kedley is a member of the Association of Legal Administrators and a former member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Mr. Kedley is actively involved in a variety of community and civic organizations. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Catholic Courier newspaper and a past member of the Executive Committee of Camp Good Days & Special Times. He has also volunteered in a variety of roles in the Penfield, New York community including St. Joseph’s Parish where he has served as chairperson of the Finance Committee, treasurer of the Parish Council and member of the Tithing Committee and Penfield High School where he served as chairperson of the Parents’ Athletic Advisory Committee.
