Brendan will join the Annual Spring Meeting for the Upstate New York Physician Recruiters on June 1.
He will join a session along with members of the New York State Center for Health Workforce Studies to discuss the processes and requirements for geographic locations and/or healthcare facilities to be designated as health professional shortage areas. This designation can make facilities eligible for various programs and benefits. Brendan will discuss one that is related to visa and immigration matters, as this can be a way for a facility to sponsor a foreign physician for a specific type of immigration waiver.
