The conference will focus on “new town” and emerging transit corridors in Amherst. The conference will start in Williamsville, a 200 year old mill town, for two days of expert speakers, tours and intensive planning sessions aimed at unique retrofit opportunities. The program will kick off with an Urban Land Institute breakfast and wrap up with a bus tour. Keynote speakers include Howard Zemsky from Empire State Development and James Kunstler, author of and critic on suburban crawl.
