Anne McGinnis was an invited presenter on two topics for the Lehigh University Special Education Law Symposium. On June 21, she presented on creative remedies available to students when it is found that a school district violated the student’s special education rights. On June 22, she presented on child find – a provision of special education law that requires school districts to identify, locate, and evaluate all children with disabilities to determine whether they require special education services. Participants at the Special Education Symposium include educators, attorneys, and parents from throughout the country. In both presentations Anne served in a reactor role with Jean Murrell Adams, a parent attorney based in California and Nevada.
