Join Harris Beach attorneys this Thursday, Feb. 16, for a webinar discussing the Federal Trade Commission’s proposed rule prohibiting non-compete clauses and how it will impact the health care industry.

Banning health care practices and hospitals from including restrictive covenants in clinician contracts will present great challenges for the industry. Hospitals and practices that invest significant time and money into getting a clinician up and running are at risk of seeing that clinician not only walk out the door, but cross the street and join, or set up, a competing business.

The webinar is designed for general counsel, C-suite executives, human resource professionals and others involved in hiring and retention decisions. Roy W. Breitenbach, leader of the Harris Beach Health Care Industry team, will present, along with team member Nicole Ozminkowski and labor attorney Ibrahim Tariq.

The discussion will include:

  • A review of the FTC’s proposed rule, timing and next steps
  • Implications for health care organizations, including navigating formal comments, lobbying and compliance with the final rule
  • Ways hospitals and practices can protect themselves from employee poaching should the proposal be adopted.

Register for the 9 a.m. webinar here. It will be recorded for those unable to attend live.
