This fall, New York state released long-awaited proposed regulations for the hemp industry that shed light on legal issues related to growing, testing, labeling and retailing hemp and its extracts such as CBD. In this episode, attorney Meaghan Feenan, a member of the Harris Beach Cannabis Industry Team, highlights key regulations for growers, labs, processors and retailers about food, beverages, oils, supplements and other CBD-based products created and sold in New York state. Clarifying aspects of the Hemp Bill signed by Governor Cuomo in January, these regulations guide our Cannabis Industry Team in assessing the landscape of hemp and cannabis in New York state, regionally and nationally to deliver full-service solutions. Meaghan recently wrote a Legal Alert on the MORE Act, which would decriminalize cannabis on a federal level. Visit our Cannabis Industry team page for more insight and information.
