On March 8, 2023, the New York State Office of the Medicaid Inspector General (“OMIG”) posted on its website a Compliance Program Review Module and a webinar that outlines the Compliance Program requirements for 2023 based upon the recently adopted compliance program regulations. The following links will direct you to the two resources:

OMIG advises the Compliance Program Review Module is to be completed and submitted when a provider receives a notice that OMIG is conducting a compliance program review. DO NOT complete it and submit it to OMIG unless you have received a notice of review from OMIG. The Compliance Program Review Module will be the data source for OMIG’s review of compliance plans.

The 20-minute webinar walks through some of the regulatory changes and outlines how OMIG will conduct its compliance program reviews. Additional material is addressed as well.

Please contact Matthew Babcock at mbabcock@harrisbeach.com if you would like to engage Harris Beach to review your compliance plan or to assist in development of a compliance plan and supporting policies that meet the new requirements.
