Harris Beach is offering a short webinar to help New York health care organizations comply with new regulations to prevent Medicaid fraud, waste and abuse.
Roy W. Breitenbach, leader of Harris Beach’s Health Care Industry, and Matthew D. Babcock, Harris Beach Health Care Industry Team member and former Assistant Medicaid Inspector General for New York State, will lead the Feb. 9 webinar.
The 45-minute webinar is designed for general counsel, compliance officers, executives, business officials and practice administrators at health care organizations of all sizes impacted by the new regulations from the New York Office of the Medicaid Inspector General (“OMIG”), which detail comprehensive requirements for providers to develop, implement and closely monitor their compliance programs.
The new regulations apply to all providers who receive more than $1 million in Medicaid reimbursement annually, as well as most facility-based providers, managed care plans and long-term care plans. The regulations will be enforced beginning March 28.
Attendees can expect to learn:
- Practical steps to take in the next 30 and 60 days to comply with new requirements
- Highlights of some compliance plan changes now required by the new regulatory language
- Consequences that accompany the new regulatory and statutory requirements, and how to best protect yourself from potential risk
Please register here. The webinar will be recorded for those unable to attend live.
