OIG published its new General Compliance Program Guidance on November 6, 2023. OIG characterizes this as a reference guidance for the health care compliance community and other health care stakeholders. It is identified as “voluntary guidance” that discusses general compliance risks and compliance programs. As voluntary guidance, it is not binding on any individual or entity.
The OIG Guidance provides information about relevant federal laws, compliance program infrastructure, OIG resources, and other information to assist with understanding health care compliance.
We understand that OIG may issue an updated version of this as it is reviewing identified typographical errors for correction.
