School psychologists often interact with students when they are at their most vulnerable. At times, that can pose a challenge: whether they should, and whether they may, disclose personally identifiable information from student records. Attorney Anne McGinnis of our Rochester office explored this scenario recently in a Q-and-A for the New York Association of School Psychologists. Anne makes another appearance in the publication in a review of a presentation she gave at a conference regarding school law for psychologists beyond special education.
