Intellectual Property attorney and craft beer enthusiast Brendan Palfreyman was recently quoted in a feature about IP theft in the craft beer industry. In Wine Enthusiast’s article, “Guns ‘N’ Rosé: Craft Beer’s Intellectual Property Theft Problem,” Brendan reacts to the problems posed by IP theft. His advice to breweries – use common sense. “Think before you print or post. Ask for input from attorneys, or someone from outside of the company first.” He adds that breweries that push these boundaries “might find something funny about what they are doing, or think it’s an homage. But they’ll find that corporations that own and defend their trademarks are humorless.”
