Harris Beach PLLC, ranked as one of the country’s largest law firms by The National Law Journal, is again growing on Long Island and in the New York City region with the addition of three new attorneys. The expansion brings the firm’s Uniondale office to 18 attorneys, up from 10 just three years ago.
Joining the Harris Beach Long Island team are:
- John Anzalone, who counsels clients in public finance, zoning and land use, municipal law, commercial transactional real estate, commercial litigation and civil litigation. John concentrates on land-use development matters, representing clients in acquiring and developing properties throughout Long Island, as well as the City of New York. He has obtained zoning approvals for regional and national retailers in Babylon, Brookhaven, Islip, Riverhead, Smithtown and a number of other Long Island municipalities.
- Hillary Gunther Link, who focuses on matters requiring a strong understanding of regulatory compliance in the food, beverage, dietary supplement and cosmetic industries. Hillary counsels clients on product development, international and domestic distribution, brand protection strategies, licensing and other corporate matters, and advises on marketing-related matters such as endorsements, influencer agreements, and social media advertising. She also helped found and served as general counsel for a New York beverage start-up. She also has significant experience in public service from her time as an executive briefer for New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and other roles.
- Sandy Milord, who focuses on business and commercial litigation and counsels clients on complex commercial disputes. Sandy joins Harris Beach from the Law Department at the City of New York, where she served as assistant corporation counsel. During her time at the Law Department, Sandy defended depositions on behalf of numerous city agencies, litigated complex tort matters to trial and negotiated settlements, when necessary, of million-dollar lawsuits at a fraction of the initial demand, saving the City of New York time, money and resources. As a former Nassau County Assistant District Attorney, Sandy prosecuted a variety of high-level felonies, including human trafficking and domestic violence crimes.
“We welcome Sandy, Hillary and John to our team. Their skills will enhance our evolution into a one-stop shop for legal and professional services on Long Island,” said Thomas Garry, office managing partner, Harris Beach Uniondale. “We are building a team with a broad set of capabilities to serve clients here, regionally and statewide. We expect our growth to continue and are continuously looking for new talent to address client needs.”
