Kelly Jones Howell, co-leader of the firm’s Medical and Life Sciences Industry Team, and Gene Kelly, a member of the firm’s Environmental Law practice group, co-authored (along with our late partner Joseph Picciotti) “Navigating a New Frontier in Environmental Regulation,” analyzing PFAS regulation and litigation. In recent years, states and the federal government have become more aggressive in investigating the health and environmental effects of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, or PFAS, the class of compounds that have come to be known as forever chemicals.
