Attorneys Andre Major, an experienced medical and life sciences litigator, and Brian Roy, who focuses on financial restructuring, bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, have been elected partners of Harris Beach PLLC, effective Jan. 1, 2023.
Andre, based in the firm’s New York City office, represents skilled nursing, assisted-living and other health care facilities before regulatory agencies and during arbitrations and serves as lead trial counsel in coordinated litigation and single-plaintiff cases involving complex medical and regulatory issues. He also counsels contractors, construction companies, property owners, management companies, developers, product manufacturers and retailers on matters involving negligence, general liability, construction law and general commercial litigation.
Brian’s financial restructuring, bankruptcy and creditors’ rights practice includes representation of creditors and debtors in bankruptcy cases across the country. He assists borrowers and lenders in pre-litigation and pre-bankruptcy financial workouts and insolvency matters and develops and implements collection and litigation strategies. Brian also has extensive experience in handling Chapter 7, 11, 12, and 13 bankruptcy cases as well as commercial litigation in New York state and federal courts. Brian works from the Harris Beach office in Syracuse.
