The New York State budget adopted last week includes an overhaul of the process for reviewing and deciding on renewable energy projects statewide. The streamlined rules involve creation of a uniform set of standards and establishes a one-year deadline for making a final decision on proposed projects. Attorney Michelle Piasecki of the Capital Region office spoke to the Rochester Business Journal and Daily Record for an article this week explaining the new process.
