Boundless is a San Francisco-based startup that seeks to simplify the process of applying for a marriage-based Green Card and K-1 fiancé visa. In a recent blog post looking at the intersection of cannabis and immigration, Boundless cited a legal alert by Partner Danielle Rizzo of our Buffalo office, co-leader of our Immigration Practice. The legal alert was picked up by JD Supra, which provides a means for syndicating legal content produced by attorneys and others in the legal profession. The alert examined the downstream consequences of legalization of cannabis in New York. “The recent legalization of adult-use cannabis in New York state has created enormous economic opportunity in the state, but taking advantage of those opportunities may bring harsh immigration consequences for foreign nationals currently in the U.S. or who seek admission to the United States in the future,” Dani wrote.
