The New York Times and the New York Post recently featured articles about firm client O Valor do Tempo [translated, means: “the value of time”]. Partner and Real Estate Developers Industry Team Leader Jack Martins is counsel for O Valor do Tempo, a Portugal-based company that owns and operates an array of unique businesses internationally. Each concept offers customers products made in Portugal, with an experience. Portuguese sardine brand Comur (an O Valor brand) has opened its flagship U.S. store, The Fantastic World of the Portuguese Sardine, of this Portuguese chain specializing in the currently popular Sardine craze.
Jack and our Commercial Real Estate attorneys Marco Silva and Paulo Coelho have been involved with the client’s flagship U.S. storefront in Times Square, New York City since the project’s inception, from identifying a suitable retail space in Manhattan, to negotiating the lease and navigating New York City’s building and zoning laws. Though this project has launched, the client continues to work with the firm, for all of its U.S. based legal needs.
