Harris Beach PLLC has expanded its business and commercial litigation and wills, trust and estates practices with the addition of two senior counsel.
Lisa Powers joins Harris Beach with 20 years of experience in elder law, Medicaid benefits, estate planning and estate and trust administration. Ms. Powers is a certified personal finance and business coach, working with startups to CEOs on business strategies, profitability and mindset issues. She is the Vice Chair of the Arc of Monroe Foundation Board and serves on the governance committee for Lifespan of Greater Rochester. She is also active with the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Women TIES, Women’s Council and Greater Rochester Association for Women Attorneys. She earned her Juris Doctorate from Albany Law School in 1997.
Kyle Gooch relocated to Harris Beach from New York City where he practiced with a large international law firm. He brings extensive experience in commercial litigation, including business contract disputes, class actions, trademark infringement litigation and false advertising disputes. During his career Mr. Gooch has represented clients in the pharmaceutical, medical device, consumer products, food and beverage, and financial services industries. He has represented clients in state and federal courts in New York and in courts around the country. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the Georgetown University Law Center in 2009.
