The Daily Record of Western New York has released its 2023 Power 20 List for Real Estate Law – and it again includes Partner Charles “Chip” Russell, leader of our Commercial Real Estate Practice Group. The Daily Record praised Chip and the 19 other lawyers for persevering the last three years through COVID-19, rising inflation and interest rates and an uncertain economy.

Chip, who has served clients at Harris Beach for almost 28 years, expressed optimism that some of those uncertainties will begin to plateau over the next year. But, he notes, many larger projects “will stay on hold until the economy finds its ‘new normal.’” Chip gives good advice to newbie lawyers: listen well. “Active listening is critical to success in the transactional practice of law,” he writes.
