Harris Beach has a strong community presence and commitment through local offices in New York, while also applying our capabilities statewide. Our clients appreciate our proximity as we draw upon resources from across the firm, whether they require regional, national or international solutions.
Strength in Community
Harris Beach cares deeply about Buffalo and all the communities in which we live and work. The vitality of our communities depends on the engagement of residents, the diversity of citizens, and the support of organizations and institutions. Our firm makes community support one of our highest priorities and encourages attorneys and staff to do the same.
Our Buffalo attorneys and staff have been extensively engaged with a range of community institutions and programs, such as the Western New York Women’s Foundation, which promotes empowerment of women, the Minority Bar Foundation, the Volunteer Lawyers Project, Elmwood-Franklin School, Buffalo Niagara Partnership, Invest Buffalo Niagara and others.
Community caring requires active engagement. Our most valuable resource at Harris Beach is our people, and we believe our communities benefit when tapping into that resource. Our attorneys and staff serve on committees and on the boards of directors for corporations, hospitals, museums, shelters and other institutions.
Many of the law firm’s attorneys and staff initiate grass-roots campaigns by coaching youth sports teams and organizing fundraisers for charitable organizations. Participation enables individuals to take ownership of an activity and allows them to pursue their own interests outside of the office. We also organize teams for fundraising walks and rally behind personal causes that may benefit families in need.
Harris Beach attorneys also serve their communities by donating their time to take on pro bono cases, as we strongly believe in the importance of making the justice system accessible all.
