Nicole is an experienced attorney who counsels clients through all aspects of litigation from case inception through trial. Her extensive prior experience in the public sector, where she represented the City of New York in high-exposure and catastrophic injury cases, has given her invaluable knowledge that translates to other clients.
As a senior counsel in the Special Litigation Unit for the New York City Law Department, Nicole managed an extensive vertical caseload from the moment a case starts to the time it is resolved, whether through trial or settlement.
Her capabilities include conducting GML §50-h hearings, drafting and reviewing responsive pleadings, interviewing and preparing witnesses for depositions, conducting and defending depositions, drafting and arguing affirmative and responsive discovery and substantive motions, handling discovery and settlement conferences, as well as oral arguments, recommending and negotiating settlements or dispositive motions. Additionally, she has prepared dozens of cases for trial and taken multiple verdicts.
In her role with the Special Litigation Unit, Nicole trained, supervised and mentored student interns and new attorneys. Nicole also served as trial attorney/senior counsel in the Tort Division of the Manhattan Borough office and Assistant Corporation Counsel/pre-trial attorney in the Tort Division of the Queens Borough office.
