Cathryn brings experience in business, government and commercial real estate to her role with the firm’s Public Finance and Economic Development and Municipalities and Local Agencies teams. Cathryn works with these attorney teams to support local development agencies, municipalities, school districts and special improvement districts on a range of issues related to economic development projects. The teams engage in all aspects of a project, including overall financing strategy as well as obtaining federal state and local incentives and participating in energy incentive programs.
During her time in law school, Cathryn served as a legal intern for the Justice Center at Albany Law School, where she counseled local small business clients on various legal and business issues, including commercial leases, real estate transactions, entity formation, and the sale of securities. Cathryn also completed legal clerkships with two Albany firms with a focus on commercial real estate and municipal bond financing.
Cathryn has additional experience in both business and government. She served as Assessor Statistician for the Town of Greenwich, Conn.’s Tax Assessor’s Office. She previously served as supply chain analyst for Mohawk Fine Papers in Cohoes.
As an undergraduate at SUNY Geneseo, Cathryn served as captain of the school’s Division III women’s tennis team, setting a Geneseo record for most wins in a season and participating in the Division III championships. Cathryn was named to the SUNYAC Women’s Tennis All-Decade Team and 1st Team All-Conference in singles and doubles. She also earned honors as SUNYAC Player of the Year and as a member of the All-Academic Team. In graduate school, she served as Assistant Women’s Tennis Coach and an undergraduate physical education instructor.
