Mario is chief human resources officer at Harris Beach directing all areas of human resources throughout the firm. He serves as the firm’s compliance officer relative to EEO policies and the firm’s diversity officer. Mario is responsible for managing the firm’s human resource information systems, recruiting, interviewing and selection, personnel record keeping, regulatory compliance, employee communications, personnel policies, discipline and discharge, safety and labor relations. He has developed and implemented multiple compensation plans and comprehensive benefit plans, and served as the fiduciary and plan administrator of a multi-million dollar 401K plan.
Mario has a broad range of experience in a variety of disciplines including, human resources, service delivery, field service operations and call center management. Prior to joining Harris Beach, he served as the senior director of human resources at Xelus, an international service-supply chain software company. Prior to Xelus, Mario was employed by Eastman Kodak Company and held positions as a district service manager, program manager for service marketing, and manager of call center operations. In addition, he held a variety of human resource management positions and subsequently moved to Danka Office Products as the result of the acquisition of the Kodak copy machine/service and supply business by Danka. Appointed to the position of manager of human resources for field operations at Danka, Mario was responsible for the development and alignment of the field services business plan, compensation plan, benefits plan and work rules for the 7,200 employees in the new entity.
Professional and Community Activities
He is involved in continuing education and has conducted seminars at Cornell University School of Industrial Relations for the Human Resources Certificate Program. Mario has also conducted a variety of management training programs.
Education
Mario has a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in industrial arts technology education from the City College of New York. He has permanent certification to teach in New York state.
