Alex is a member of Harris Beach’s Mass Torts and Industry-wide Litigation Practice Group, which has represented foreign and domestic clients of all sizes and industry affiliations in some of the most complex, precedent-setting mass torts filed in the past 30 years. The group is noted for its proprietary approach to large case management and e-discovery litigation support.
Alex has represented a diverse array of clients across his career. His extensive experience includes defending doctors and hospitals in high exposure medical malpractice cases. He conducts client and expert witness meetings; cross-examines doctors at depositions; conducts plaintiffs’ depositions; researches, drafts and argues dispositive motions; analyzes expert disclosures and engages in trial preparation. Alex represents physicians and medical institutions in many fields of medicine, including obstetrics, neurosurgery, vascular surgery, orthopedics, urology, oncology, infectious diseases, cardiology, radiology, emergency medicine, gastroenterology and neurology.
Alex is skilled at handling a high-volume caseload, including representing New York City agencies, conducting bench trials and inquests, preparing witnesses, and settling numerous cases in Supreme and Civil Courts. In addition, he represents businesses and landlords in real estate matters.
During his studies at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Alex was elected to serve as the president of the graduate students’ bar association and was presented the award for distinguished performance in the LLM program at graduation.
