Jamie serves as Chief Human Resources Officer at Harris Beach. She plays a key role in the growth strategy of the firm by developing plans and programs that maximize the talents of attorneys and professional staff. Working in conjunction with the Harris Beach Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Management Committee, Jamie oversees initiatives in talent attraction, training and development, compensation and benefits, succession planning, organizational performance and change management. She and the HR team also have responsibilities for regulatory compliance, employee communications, policy design, discipline, wellness and inclusion and diversity.
PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Jamie started her career at Harris Beach as a Human Resources Coordinator in 2003. She has risen steadily over the past two decades, serving as Manager of Human Resources and Associate Programs from 2008 to 2017; Senior Manager of Human Resources and Associate Programs from 2017 to 2020; and Director of Human Resources from 2020 until she was named as Chief Human Resources Officer in 2023. She started her HR career with positions in legal recruitment at Duane Morris LLP and Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP, both Philadelphia-based firms.
Jamie has been instrumental over her Harris Beach career in helping the firm’s human resources function evolve to meet the challenges of a changing legal market. She played an important role in expanding the recruitment of associate attorneys and built processes, such as mentoring and training programs, to address their evolving needs as a tool for recruitment. As a member of the firm’s Council on Inclusion and Diversity, Jamie has helped to build relationships at law schools across New York and with affinity student groups such as the Black Law Students Association and Hispanic Law Students Association.
