Linnea focuses her practice on representing commercial developers, not-for-profits, institutional lenders, corporations, partnerships, and other entities in the development, finance, sale, purchase, management, construction, and leasing of commercial real estate. She advises clients in all stages of project development and enjoys contributing creative solutions to counsel businesses as they serve their communities. Linnea is also a member of our Affordable Housing practice.
Prior to joining Harris Beach, Linnea gained legal experience in a variety of roles while exploring her passions. During law school, Linnea worked in the Public Health Advocacy Clinic focusing on environmental liabilities from a toxic coal ash spill. She also served as an IRS-certified volunteer in the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program to help low-income individuals prepare tax returns, worked as an intern for the New York Court of Claims and worked for the Program on Human Rights and the Global Economy at Northeastern, where she conducted research on water and sanitation affordability programs. Each of those positions were through co-ops at Northeastern University School of Law.
She also worked as a teaching assistant and research assistant for multiple professors, and was an editor on Law Review. Prior to law school, Linnea worked in community and economic development at PathStone Corporation and gained several years of experience as an immigration paralegal at a Boston law firm. While an undergraduate, Linnea spent an academic year abroad, studying at the University of St. Andrews in St. Andrews, Scotland.
