William, a first-generation college graduate, law graduate and attorney, focuses his practice on bankruptcy, bankruptcy litigation, workouts and insolvency matters. He has a particular focus on financial restructuring and recovery involving long-term care facilities and related creditors.
Working collaboratively with other associates and partners, William handles discovery along with a range of other pre-trial matters, including taking depositions and preparing witnesses. He negotiates, drafts and implements settlement agreements, as well as drafts trial documents. William also works with the Harris Beach Immigration Law team on matters pertaining to physician immigration.
Prior to his admission to practice, William obtained substantial experience in the law in a range of perspectives. During both high school and college, William worked as a business litigation assistant with a firm in Chicago, where he collaborated with partners and associates in business law, intellectual property and securities law and supported the financial services regulatory team.
William has also supported Legal Services of Central New York in its Community Counsel Project, which promotes awareness and prevention of childhood lead poisoning and focuses on the impoverished areas of Syracuse. William also served as a judicial extern for the Hon. Frederick J. Scullin Jr. of U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York and as a legal intern for the Onondaga County District Attorney’s Office. He previously served as a law clerk at Harris Beach.
In addition to receiving his J.D., William also earned a certificate for completion of the Advocacy & Litigation Curriculum program at Syracuse University College of Law.
